If you like the work of Klee, this book will show a larger picture of
his life, family and times. The puppets are raw and made with whatever
was near. With a light hand, the political and social events
are added to give a feeling of where these were created in time.

These puppets seem very modern and ancient at once. So glad to have it in
my collection.

Good ideas

I bought this book not to 'fake antiques' but to get some ideas on how to take flea market finds and turn them into great pieces for my home. Lots of great ideas and tricks to use on items that may have ended up in the burn pile. I love to salvage items and try to re-use them if possible. A great book that I will use over and over again.

Today many of us have virtually succumbed our natural "reality" to a phony existance based upon presenting an image of ourselves to our peers that is actually based upon media and market-generated values. About the Author
Salvadore Poe is a musician from New York, who in 1997 had a life changing experience that propelled him on several years of intensive self-inquiry. Traveling wherever he needed to go to meet teachers, and meeting many authentic ones, he eventually wound up living in India with two revered sages. In 2004, after years of meditation and countless mystical, transcendent experiences, he finally met his last teacher. Eight years later, while he was living an ordinary life making music in India, someone he met asked him to share and this work was born.

The Best of the Best

I've read way too many books on non duality and zen, but Liberation Is is the very best of the best. Poe writes with incredible clarity. But the best thing about this book is that it addresses the most challenging experiential and intellectual challenges of really "getting" ideas and that undermine the ideas and self concepts with which we are most attached.

This is a beautiful, special book

This is a beautiful, special book. I first heard of Sal on a BATGAP interview. There was a hint of freedom and liberation is the interview... so I bought the book. The main idea is the freedom possible by taking a "Holiday" from thought and mind. A holiday is taking a time-out, letting go of all thoughts, and to be in the present.... feeling any body sensations, kinda "no mind" state, being present, of getting out of our insistent heads, to a place of freedom and no thought. It's similar to meditation, but without the focus on the breath, and without the trappings of meditation, such as getting into an altered state, following the breath, a rigid posture, or an enlightened or awakened experience. The reader is invited to take a holiday whenever possible.

One of the unique things of this book, is that at several points, Sal asks you to go back to the beginning of the book, and reread the short examples of what a holiday is, and then to actually take a holiday! It' s not a book for speed reading!

So much of spirituality is conceptual - every awakened dude trying to sell you their latest book - what worked for him or her, what Nisargidatta said, when the truth is very simple, Sal breaks down many rigid concepts and urges, such as being enlightened, and the spiritual search. This book is about ending the spiritual search - a pretty freaky thing. What would you do if you didn't have any spiritual books to read, retreats to attend, or satsangs to attend? "Liberation Is" has been a very liberating expression.

Excellent. I'm actually on my third read at the moment and each time I get more insights that I didn't see at first. One of the most well-written and clear treatises on nonduality. I highly recommend it to anyone who is serious about coming to the end of the search!!! Bravo Sal!

Usable Advice for Anyone ... for Everyone

The advice in this book is easily accessible, easily understandable and practical. Told by someone who's struggled with Panic and Anxiety for years -- we're given pithy anecdotes and a no-nonsense approach -- the essential ingredients to his control and recovery are within your grasp.

We all have moments of panic and anxiety (pre-wedding jitters, the first day of a new job, or buying a house for the first time), and Judson's book has advice for all of us, from vitamin supplements to a healthier nutritional outlook, or the choice of medication if necessary and appropriate. I especially appreciate the notes section because it keeps all the information in one easy reference.

Snap Out Of It? YES I DID!

I dont know why it is... but most of the time I read these books on Panic and Anxiety they seem to create more Panic and Anxiety. There is something about the way this author has written this book that totally makes sense. In less than two hours he has given me more information and tools than all the others authors and doctors that have come before him. I highly recommend giving this book to anyone with panic and anxiety... believe me, as soon as you finish this book, you know you have been given some great tools. I truly had no idea it could be this simple. Thank you for writing this. We need more of these kind of "Self-Help" books!
